Life Care Center of Hickory Woods, a skilled nursing and rehab facility in Antioch, was recently named a 2016-2017 U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home.
U.S. News & World Report rates centers using data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services covering health inspections, nurse staffing and quality of care.
Fewer than 13 percent of nursing homes received a Best rating.
Life Care Center of Hickory Woods is one of 2,005 facilities in the country that received the Best honor, achieving top nursing home status among more than 15,000 nationwide.
“To be ranked a Best Nursing Home on such a prestigious platform was surreal,” said Ashley Borja, executive director at the center. “I attribute all of this success to the amazing teamwork this team shows each day and to the glory of God. I’m so proud of our team!”
Borja pointed out that the rankings on the U.S. News & World Report website run from 1.0 to 5.0, with Best Nursing Homes running from 4.5 to 5.0. Life Care Center of Hickory Woods was one of only 22 facilities in the state to earn a 5.0.
The facility is also ranked at five out of five stars by CMS.
